Yes, Arvind! You Betrayed Nation On Janlokpal.

How unfortunate it is that when you have full command then you forgot all those we fought for! How could you change the bill to kill the very spirit of the Janlokpal? It is even more disheartening to see the party’s leaders shamelessly claiming that Delhi Janlokpal Bill 2015 is the same bill, not even a ‘Full Stop or Comma’ has been changed!

Dear Arvind! You were our leader, the hero of Janlokpal Movement. When you used to roar from Ramleela Maidan, the political class was threatened. When you used to question their intent and integrity to pass the Janlopal Bill, they were exposed on the issue of corruption. When you used to raise finger towards the corrupt system, hundreds of thousands of people waved fist in support of you from all over the country.

We fought for the Lokpal which must be independent, impartial and free from the control of political class and government. We fought for the Lokpal which must have its own investigation and prosecution wing.

After failing to get the Janlopal as we wanted, we accepted the challenge of political class to enter the electoral politics. We invested everything to our first electoral battle in Delhi. You became the Chief Minister of Delhi and very proudly resigned from your 49 days minority government after failing to table the Delhi Janlokpal Bill 2014. We again fought hard for second time, Delhi gave you overwhelming historical mandate.

Arvind, do you know one of your best qualities? It is your skill to communicate complex matters in simplest way. You make people to learn it by heart. How could we forget that ‘A Strong, Independent and Impartial Lokpal’ meant that it would be free from the control of political class and government. It means that in the selection and removal of the Lokpal politicians and government won’t be the controller. It is very unfortunate to see that now you want all the control to be given to the politicians.

How could we forget that ‘A Strong, Independent and Impartial Lokpal’ meant that it must have it’s own investigation and prosecution wing. It means that it would not be dependent on the government and it’s agencies. It is very unfortunate to see that now you compromised on this and wants to make Lokpal dependent on the government agencies.

Arvind, you used to say referring to the political class – “Inki Neeyat Kharab Hai” (Their intent is bad). Now the same statement comes true to you. You don’t have intent to pass the Janlokpal Bill, you just want to play dirty tactical politics around it. Earlier it was said that the central Lokpal will investigate the complaints against the central government and it’s officials and state Lokpal will investigate the complaints against the state government and it’s officials. But, now you want central government and it’s officials under a state Lokpal. You know that any central government won’t accept this. Arvind Aap Ki Neeyat Badal Gayi Hai (Your intent is changed). You don’t want the Lokpal to come into existence but want the Lokpal hanging between you and central government as a punching bag.

Yes, Arvind! You have betrayed nation on Janlokpal. I still hope that your conscience will awake and you will listen to your own ‘Antaratma Ki Aawaz‘. I still hope that you will accept mistakes and get it correct. We want Janlokpal, not Jokepal!
